The nearest airport, Angoulême-Cognac, has 3 flights a week on Ryanair from London Stansted.  Ryanair also flies into La Rochelle-Ile de Ré (daily), Limoges and Poitiers.  Flybe fly from Southampton to La Rochelle and easyJet from Bristol to La Rochelle during the summer months.

BY TRAIN

We are only 26 kms (16 miles) from Angoulême station. You could take the Eurostar from St Pancras International (via Paris or Lille) which takes about 6 hours.  Car rental companies operate from opposite the station at Angoulême, eg Europcar.

If you’re coming off the A10 motorway the nearest junction is 34 (St Jean d’Angély). Then follow the D939 towards Rouillac and Angoulême for about 40kms. At Sonneville turn right onto the D75 for Mareuil. As you enter the village you will see the church and the water tower. Here, turn right and take the Jarnac road. Go around the sharp bend and as you come the hill we're the house on the left with the big green gates.
